Through My Lens

Living Labels

Which label do you identify with? It’s human to have stereotypes and label people, but how we act on them is a choice. Learning to look beyond prejudices and listen to each other’s stories is crucial in building a more inclusive society.

Why Is Ending Racism a Debate

The death of George Floyd fueled a series of Black Protest around the world. In the Netherlands, like in most countries, we still face institutional racism. It’s time to start listening to the ones who experience racism.

Everlasting Friends

“It’s been said that everlasting friends go long periods of time without speaking and never question the friendship. These friends pick up like they just spoke yesterday, regardless of how long it has been or how far away they live. They understand that life is busy and love is there.”

Say Yes

Go back inside and listen to nature. Sing along with the earth’s sounds. Say yes to life.

A Beautiful Mind

Life through my eyes.

My Muse

“I don’t see bones, I see lines to kiss. I don’t see scars, I see wounds to heal. I don’t see shame, I see confidence.”

La Deuxième Sexe

When women act like women, they are accused of being inferior. When women act like human beings, they are accused of behaving like men. – Simone de Beauvoir | Featured interview.

Claiming Your Identity

By photographing queer people and interviewing them about their identity, I want to break through stereotypes of queers that are often portrayed in popular media.

We Are All Human

Speaking different languages, coming from different countries, having different upbringings: just one look in the eye and you see we are the same. We are all human longing for connection.
