Sacha Celine Verheij is a Dutch-Surinamese-Moluccan lesbian writer, poet, photographer and activist designer.
Exploring taboos and addressing issues of social justice are her daily habits.
She is the editor-in-chief of the first magazine of Skin Mutts and the photographer for the project Living Labels of the Dutch Diversity Charter.

Indisch Zwijgen
Expositie
Het gedicht voor Indisch Zwijgen van Sacha Celine Verheij is ontstaan uit haar zoektocht naar haar wortels en haar plek in de conversatie rondom racisme in haar familie. Als Nederlands-Surinaamse-Molukse lesbische vrouw gevangen tussen vele werelden, zoekt ze manieren om recht te doen aan de verhalen van levens die verloren zijn gegaan, zijn vergeten of opzettelijk gewist.
Met haar gedicht is ze een van de kunstenaars die te bewonderen is in de expositie ‘het Zwijgen Doorbroken’ naar de gelijknamige documentaire ‘Indisch Zwijgen’ (@indischzwijgen) van @sven_peetoom en @juliettedominicus. In de expositie reflecteren zes Indische kunstenaars met verschillende kunstvormen op het zwijgen over het Nederlands-Indisch verleden, zowel binnen families als in de maatschappij.
